Would you mind putting that thing out?

It's a little smoky over here.
With the exception of Monday, we haven't had a view of the mountains that surround Bozeman because of smoke due to forest fires - and as of last night, there's one only 12 miles away. I can honestly say, I've never seen this much smoke pouring from one location - and its rather frightening. Since Brandon wasn't concerned, I convinced myself I wasn't either - until the power started flickering during an intense game of Settlers of Catan that evening. Much to my relief, the power came on and stayed on for the rest of the night.

Although our outdoor time has been limited because of the smoke and heat (it hit 100 degrees here yesterday!), we're still doing our best to make sure I get as much of the Montana experience as possible - so, we went on a hike on our only clear day so far, Monday. It was a nice, 4.5 mile hike that led us to a lovely view of the Bridger Range on one side, and Bozeman on the other.

Yesterday, we decided to hit the Farmer's market for dinner. Ithaca folks - you all would love this place, it's a larger version of our farmers market with a small stage for live music and a large field to sit in.

Tonight, for the third night in a row, Brandon, Brett and I be playing Settlers of Catan (that's right - three nights in a row - they're obsessed... I may have unleashed something evil here). For those who don't know, Settlers of Catan is a fantastic board game - I highly recommend checking it out.

Off into the world of Catan I go!
